About Shamba Nathi Racemosa

Racemosa is one of the rarest coffees in the world. Since 2015, Shamba Nathi has sourced and germinated nearly 10,000 Racemosa seedlings, representing roughly 90% of all known plants globally.

Each tree produces only 100g of cherries, or about 10g of green coffee, making this one of the rarest coffees available. Cultivation is exceptionally challenging: small bean size, a six-week harvest window during the rainy season, and delicate natural processing all demand extreme care and precision.

Shamba Nathi’s farms are located in Hluhluwe on the Elephant Coast and Ballito on the Dolphin Coast, KwaZulu-Natal, offering ideal conditions for these wild heirloom trees. Every bag sold supports pioneering work in climate-resilient species, helping secure the future of coffee.
